About me
Sam is a landscape designer who grew up in Indiana and has lived in Oregon for the last 12 years. His passion for landscape architecture started when he worked as an outdoor educator in Central Oregon teaching rock climbing and whitewater rafting courses. While searching for a new career path he had the realization that many of the wild places he loved to spend time were managed and designed spaces which influenced his decision to go back to school where he obtained his master’s degree in landscape architecture. For the last 2.5 years Sam has worked in active transportation at Alta Planning and Design and is excited to continue playing a role in making urban and rural communities more bike and pedestrian friendly, reducing our reliance on vehicular transportation.
