About me
Precious Bugarin is the Graphic Design Manager at Toole Design and a creative leader specializing in brand design, art direction, and visual language development. With more than twenty years of experience, she builds and leads brand systems from the ground up, with deep expertise in typography, information design, logo development, and campaign work. She partners closely with in-house and agency teams, guiding projects from early proposals and budgeting through final execution. Known for her empathy and collaborative approach, Precious mentors emerging and experienced creatives alike, building strong relationships across teams and leadership levels. In addition to her creative practice, Precious has taught college courses in typography, branding, and information design for more than two decades, helping students bridge the gap between the classroom and professional practice. Before joining Toole in September, she ran her own eponymous studio as creative director and lead designer, developing and collaborating on campaigns with Mercy Corps, Nike, PBOT, Safe & Strong, and Write Around Portland, among others. Outside of work, she enjoys knitting, exploring Portland’s neighborhoods on foot, and discovering new books in Little Free Libraries with her family.
