Julia Klaus Sanders (she/her) is an Oregon native and a planner with Alta Planning + Design, specializing in Safe Routes to School education and engagement. With over 12 years of experience in curriculum development, youth leadership, and community-based transportation planning, she leads statewide initiatives across Oregon and Washington and supports Safe Routes to School programs nationwide. Julia develops practical, ready-to-use tools that translate technical transportation concepts into accessible resources for schools and communities. Her work centers youth voice, equity, and sustainable systems that make walking and biking safer and more attainable for students.
