About me
Adriana is a Portland (Oregon)-metro native who identifies as a female of color. Her lived and professional experiences have given her an intimate understanding of the toll systemic inequities take on people’s day-to-day lives. She is passionate about finding ways to minimize barriers and focuses on empowering people to live their healthiest lives, particularly those who are doing so with limited resources. With a background in public health from Oregon State University, Adriana’s experiences educating community members through nonprofits and hospitals has ushered her into the transportation equity work she is pursuing at PBOT. She is currently part of the Transportation Wallet: Access for All team and has played a key role in shepherding the program from its pilot stages into permanency. She has intimate knowledge of how the program operates, it’s current offering to Portlanders, insights on the program’s challenges, wins, outcomes and hopes for the future.
